• May 2002 An interesting and exciting project was completed: The opening of a new production site for active anti-vibration systems. Our CEO Dieter Ahlers took on this task in June 2001. The right location was determined, the required infrastructure was established and the specialised tools were organised. Starting from scratch and blueprints, for all mechanical and electric parts Mr. Ahlers had to find the right sources, negotiate the technical specifications and tolerances, the best suited raw materials and –of course- a mutually agreeable price. Active anti-vibration systems are high precision electromagnetic modulators, designed to shield working surfaces against external resonance by using actively driven spring coils. Mr. Ahlers crafted the first prototypes in less than 5 months after the project’s start. In the following months additional variants and pre-production types were developed. In May 2002 the regular production began. Efindon helped in the startup of this interesting project and we would like to extend our sincerest wishes to our previous client for further successful production and profitable marketing of their exciting products.
  
  
• April 2002  Due to the fact that the last big and well renown German producer of Neon Glow-lamps seized production, efindon.de shifted their attention towards this interesting product. Building on the previous experience in the field of luminescent lamps and inverters, the profound knowledge of an previous employee of the above company and an extensive market analysis and research for international suppliers we became experts in this area. Today Neon Glow-lamps might no longer be used in oscillating circuits and stabilisers, but there is still no competitive substitute for the use in low cost signalling units on the horizon. Osram is of the opinion that high quality Neon Glow-lamps can no longer be economically manufactured in Germany. Indeed, Taiwan and China are capable of producing high quality Neon Glow-lamps. However, differences in quality and life expectancies can vary from 1,000 hours to 100,000 hours.
